I've always been fascinated by electronics. For years I've tinkered with Arduino, Raspberry Pi and ESP32 boards, building small gadgets and toys for friends and family.
The one thing I always found hard was making my own PCBs. I tried to learn KiCad, and I didn't get very far.
When AI arrived, I expected to find a service that would help me design PCBs easily. I couldn't find one that fit what I needed, so I decided to build it myself. That's how 3v3.dev started.
I've worked hard to give it every feature you'd expect from a good MCP service: you, or your AI agent, can go from an idea to a board you can order. The platform is flexible enough to build complex designs just by talking to your own AI agent, and the Gerber files it makes pass every check and print flawlessly with services like JLCPCB.
I think 3v3.dev is in a good place now, so I've added a free plan, to give as many people as possible the tool I always wanted.
Running 3v3.dev costs money, and I hope the paid plans will cover it. If you're happy with what you get here, please consider a paid plan. It keeps the servers running and motivates me to keep making it better.
Keep tinkering!
